✦ Synopsis

A homogeneous enzyme immunoassay has been developed in which an antigen and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase are coimmobilized on agarose beads. Binding of hexokinase-labeled antibody to the bead-bound antigen results in an accelerated conversion of glucose, ATP, and NAD+ to 6-phosphogluconolactone, ADP, and NADH. Critical parameters affecting assay response are discussed.

A novel homogeneous enzyme immunoassay has been developed that takes advantage of the observation that the activity of a bacterial chitinase could be enhanced by the binding of a ligand conjugate of a monoclonal antibody to the enzyme (L-MAbchi). Recent advances in homogeneous enzyme immunoassays (EIAs) are discussed. EIA methods have been developed with comparable sensitivity to those of radioirnrnunoassay (RIA). EIAs have become established in many clinical laboratories and are generally being employed for: 1) homogeneous assay of low mole

## Abstract A convenient homogeneous enzyme immunoassay for estradiol is described. Unlike heterogeneous immunoassays, which require time‐consuming separation steps or expensive automated systems, homogeneous immunoassays, wherein all reagents are freely suspended in bulk solution, can be simple an

A unique homogeneous enzyme immunoassay used for the determination of haptens and macromolecular antigens has been developed. It consists of avidin-antigen conjugate, anti-ligand antibody, and biotin enzyme (propionyl-CoA carboxylase). The immunological reaction of the conjugate with antibodies spec

A homogeneous enzyme immunoassay method for proteins is described. The assay components include a protein antigen-P-galactosidase conjugate, antiprotein antibody, and a synthetic macromolecular substrate. When antibody binds to the conjugate, enzyme activity is inhibited up to 95% because of steric

Homogeneous enzyme immunoassay has been used as a tool for the determination of diosgenin and its glycosides in plants. Diosgenin antisera was found to inhibit the activity of diosgenin hemisuccinate-horseradish peroxidase conjugate which was reversed by the addition of free diosgenin or its glycosi
