Abstract
An improved synthesis of [1,1′‐^13^C~2~]‐L‐cystine which includes the optical resolution of the labeled N‐acetyl‐S‐benzyl‐DL‐cysteine by Aspergillus acylase into S‐benzyl‐L‐cysteine is described.
