In the title complex, [Cu(C 7 H 3 NO 5 )(C 10 H 8 N 2 )(H 2 O)]Á3H 2 O, the Cu II atom has a slightly distorted square-pyramidal coordination geometry, with a basal plane formed by two N atoms of the 2,2 0 -bipyridine ligand and two O atoms of the pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate N-oxide. The apical posit
