## Abstract In this article, a bandpass filter with a wide stopband is proposed for the wireless local area network (WLAN) system. The filter is mainly composed of a dual‐mode bandpass filter (DM‐BPF) and a controllable bandstop structure (CBS). By using the CBS, multiple transmission zeros can be

✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A novel dual‐mode band‐pass filter with a cross‐shaped resonator and three ring resonators has been designed and implemented. The proposed structure is different from the conventional dual‐mode band‐pass filter. The designed dual‐mode band‐pass filter has a very sharp attenuation rate by two transmission zeros, and high spurious suppression by the band‐stop effect of the three ring resonators. The experiments show good agreement with the simulations. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, we propose a dual‐mode bandpass filter (BPF) at 1.575 GHz using periodic meander slotted ground structures (M‐SGSs) which are etched on the ground plane for spurious suppression. First, single M‐SGS is analyzed. Second, the M‐SGSs are used to provide a good stopband‐rej
## Abstract In this work, a novel microstrip bandpass filter with a wide stopband is proposed. With the assistance of an open stub, one modified open‐circuit coupled line with symmetrical feeding, a long transmission line, and a wide stopband with a sufficient rejection level can be achieved. Detai
## Abstract This paper presents the improved stopband of a novel dual‐mode bandpass filter (BPF) using an etched H‐shaped defected ground structure (DGS) at 2 GHz. The wide‐stopband characteristic results from the rejection‐band resonant characteristic of the DGS in the harmonic frequency of the du
## Abstract In this article, parallel‐coupled microstrip line (PCML) with ground plane aperture is used to improve the stopband performance of a stub tuned dual mode ring resonator band‐pass filter (BPF). The PCML with ground plane structure produces a wide‐band band‐pass response, whereas the stub
## Abstract A rectangular patch resonator with four equal slits etched on sides is presented to make up a stopband‐improved dual‐mode filter. By stretching these four side slits towards the patch center, the first resonant frequency gets a gradual decrease while its second one keeps almost unchange
