โฆ Synopsis
lo-Azaprostaglandin (succinimide) analogues (la, b, c) were synthesised in a stereospecific manner from readily available materials. In the search for therapeutically useful synthetic prostaglandins, heterocyclic analogues have received considerable attenti0n.l This laboratory2 and others3 have recently reported the potent and diverse biological activities exhibited by the 10,12diazaprostaglandins. Continuing our interest in this area we now describe the synthesis of lo-azaprostaglandin (succinimide) analogues (la, b, c).~

## Abstract The baseโcatalyzed alkylation of __N__โacylated 3โpyrrolines has been studied. The reaction has been utilized in an approach to the synthesis of 12โazaprostaglandins according to the following sequence. 3โPyrroline was acylated with 1โchloroโ1โoctenโ3โone and the resulting amide alkylat
The synthesis of 8-methyl-PGC22 and 12-methyl-PGAa3 and -PGE24 has been described recently. Degradation to biological inactive PGB-derivatives 1s lmpossible in these compounds. We now wish to report the synthesis of the lO,lO-dimethyl-PGEl analog A, which cannot be deactivated easily by transformat
