β¦ Synopsis
In this paper we examine simple strategies for the problems of collision-avoidance in the robot soccer competition. First we discuss strategies for guidance of the robot to capture the ball, and second, strategies for the obstacle and constraint avoidance. The strategies have been developed to enable computationally efficient code to be written for implementation on the micro-robot. The simulations presented have been carded out in software only.

It is important for a robot to acquire adaptive behaviors for avoiding surrounding robots and obstacles in complicated environments. Although the introduction of a learning scheme is expected to be one of the solutions for this purpose, a large size of memory and a large calculation cost are require
