✦ Synopsis
Polymerization of 3-methoxy-3-phenylpropene has been carried out with the VCI3-AIE b catalyst system, under various experimental conditions. Coordination of the methoxyl group on the transition metal catalyst is showed through a [3,3] methoxylotropic rearrangement of the monomer. l-methoxy-l-phenylpentane and 1-chloro-l-phenylpentane were also isolated as reaction products.
