✦ Synopsis
tetracarbonylchromium complexes / 1,2,3,4-Diphosphadiboretane, isomerisation of
1,2,3,4-diphosphadiboretane (1) reacts with Fe2(CO)9 to give two isomeric tetracarbonyliron complexes 2, 3 with P-Fe bonds and a bis(tetracarbony1iron) complex 4. In contrast, 1 displaces the olefinic ligand from tetracarbonyl(q4-norbornadiene)metal (metal = Cr, Mo) to form the tetracarbonylmetal On heating to 80 "C the bis(tetrdcdrbony1iron) complex 4 decomposes with formation of 2 and 3 which are therefore thermally more stable than 4. Irradiation of a solution of 4
