14C labelled Metribuzine was synthetised in a five step synthesis firom sodium [l-14C]pivalate (trimethyl acetic acid) via o-brom0-[2-~~C]pinacoline (l-bromo-3,3-dimethyl-butan-2-on) and trimethyl [2-14C]pyruvic acid. The total yield was 30% (calculated on sodium pivalate).

Abstract
Hexazinone ‐ a s‐triazine type contact herbicide ‐ was labelled with ^14^C for the investigation of metabolic pathways. A convenient synthesis was elaborated for labelling of the carbon atom in the 6 position of the triazine ring. The molar activity of Hexazinone was 797.0 MBq/mmole (21.54 mCi/mmole).

## Abstract A convenient procedure to synthesize 2–^14^C‐dinitroso‐hexahydropyrimidine (DNHP) is described. The synthesis begines with the condensation of ^14^C‐formaldehyde and propylenediamine‐1,3 in benzene with azeotropic removal of water. The resulting bases are isolated from the reaction mixt
## Abstract Propiconazole was labelled with ^14^C in three different positions: in the benzene ring, in the position 5 of the dioxolane ring, and in the triazole ring. The synthesis of three new key intermediates [(m‐dichloro[U‐^14^C]benzene], 1,2,4‐[U‐^14^C]triazole, [1‐^14^C]‐pentane‐1,2‐diol) we
## Abstract The synthesis of n‐heptane‐1‐^14^C is described. starting from ^14^CH~3~I via (^14^CH~3~) ~2~Cd and caproyl chloride; for obtaining n‐heptane‐2‐^14^C, n‐pentyl bromide is converted into the Grignard reagent, carbonated with ^14^CO~2~, and the resulted coproic acid is converted into its

The synthesis of 14C-labelled crotamiton, which is a fungicide, an insecticide as well as a scabicide is described. Starting from 2-bromonitrobenzene and Cu14CN, 2-toluidine, labelled with 14C at the methyl group was prepared by the following sequence of reactions : N O ~-C ~H L + -~~C O O H
