β¦ Synopsis
This paper proposes a new non-linear sliding mode controller for induction motors. The controller assumes that only the motor speed and stator currents are measured and seeks to provide asymptotic tracking of speed and #ux. The control law incorporates a sliding mode observer and uses backstepping ideas to synthesise the non-linear controller sliding surfaces. Good results have been obtained in the benchmark simulations.
