In-depth composition profiles of the an&c oxide films grown on Al (1 I1 ), (I 10) and (100) single crystal electrodes in ammonium borate were studied by Auger electron spectroscopy with Ar ion etching. The oxide film had the composition of Ai,O, as referenced to an authentic a-Al,O, single crystal.

The thermal stability of high-temperature vulcanized silicone rubber with stannic oxide as a heat stabilizer was investigated by heat aging at 300ยฐC ฯซ 24 h in air. It was discovered that Sn ฯฉ4 is reduced to Sn 0 during vulcanization and during heat aging in air by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (X
