Mammary turnours were induced in rats by intragastric administration of 3-methylcholanthrene. More than 75% of the tumours attained palpable size between 3 and I 1 weeks after the last dose of the carcinogen. Adrenalectomy did not inhibit the growth of tumours already present and appeared even to en
