β¦ Synopsis
Some early steps in the development of an inter-disciplinary Mechatronics curriculum at the Ohio State University are described. More specifically, this paper reports on the mid-course results of an undergraduate curriculum development grant funded by the National Science Foundation* Division of Undergraduate Education, and managed by the authors of this paper. The aim of the grant is to foster the development of an inter-departmental, inter-disciplinary curriculum in Mechatronics. The specific effort described in this paper represents only a part of the educational and research activities in the field of electro-mechanical systems at the Ohio State University.
