โœฆ Synopsis

In this paper, problems related to the integrated design of observer based fault detection systems are addressed. In the context of norm based residual evaluation, a trade-off between false alarm rate (FAR) and fault detection rate (FDR) is first formulated. Aiming at minimizing FAR under given FDR, an approach is then presented for the design of observer based fault detection systems. For this purpose, the well-established factorization technique is applied. Finally, study is devoted to the comparison between the existing methods and the proposed one.

This paper considers observer-based actuator fault detection and reconstruction problems for uncertain nonlinear systems. Based on a kind of full-order observer which is robust to disturbances but sensitive to actuator faults, a single detection observer is constructed to produce a residual which ca

The stock market, which has been investigated by various researchers, is a rather complicated environment. Most research only concerned the technical indexes (quantitative factors), instead of qualitative factors, e.g., political e ect. However, the latter plays a critical role in the stock market e
