The title complex, [HgBr 2 (C 19 H 24 S 2 )] n , has a single-chain structure in which adjacent HgBr 2 units are linked by bridging ligands. The Hg II centre has a distorted tetrahedral coordination environment formed by two Br À anions and two S atoms from distinct ligands.
