## Abstract In this paper, we design and fabricate a broadband interiorβtype planar monopole with an omnidirectional radiation pattern over a wide operation band using a slanted feeding shape. It has a measured 10βdB impedance bandwidth of about 670 MHz (1585β2255 MHz) covering the DCS (digital cor

β¦ Synopsis
A novel broadband double-cavity planar antenna with a wide operating bandwidth (about 25% with respect to the center frequency of 900 MHz) for mobile-phone application as an internal antenna is presented. The proposed planar antenna consists of a thin upper cavity (3-mm thick) and a relatively thick lower cavity (about 7-mm thick). In the lower cavity of the antenna, its partial volume can also be used to accommodate associated components of the mobile phone. Design considerations of the proposed antenna are described, and the results of the constructed prototypes are presented.

## Abstract A lowβprofile internal monopole antenna has been proposed for multistandard mobile phones. The proposed antenna operates at GSM (880β960 MHz), DCS (1710β1880 MHz), PCS (1850β1990 MHz), UMTS (1920β2170 MHz), WiBro (2300β2390 MHz), Bluetooth (2.42β2.48 GHz), SβDMB (2.630β2.655 GHz), and W
## Abstract This paper presents a novel planar monopole, printed on both sides of a dielectric substrate, which can be concealed within the housing of a folderβtype mobile phone as an internal antenna. The proposed internal planar monopole antenna occupies a small area of 10 Γ 40 mm^2^, and is capa
## Abstract A novel compact internal quadβband handset antenna for covering GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, and ISM2450 bands is presented. Details of the antenna are discussed along with measured and simulated results. The simulation is based on the FDTD method. Β© 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave
An internal planar mobile phone antenna with a small vertical ground plane electrically connected to the system ground plane of the mobile phone is presented. The vertical ground plane can function as an effective shielding wall between the antenna and the nearby RF-shielding metal case or other ass
