✦ Synopsis
The title compound, [Pt(N~2~S~2~)(C~13~H~13~P)~2~]·CH~2~Cl~2~, contains Pt^II^ in a square-planar coordination. The five-membered PtS~2~N~2~ ring contains two short and one long S—N bonds. Interestingly, the S—N bond lengths have a different pattern from those in the PMe~2~Ph analogue and one of the published PPh~3~ analogues, but are comparable with those in most other systems containing the disulfurdinitride anion.
