✦ Synopsis
A method is described for the determination of the enzyme-catalyzed synthesis of y-glutamylmethylamide (GMAD). The assay involves conversion of '"C-labeled methylamine to ["'C] CMAD, addition of cold alcohol to stop the reaction, and plating an aliquot of the reaction mixture on planchets with alkali to volatilize the unreacted methylamine. The nonvolatile GMAD on the planchet is then counted. 463
