✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A novel dual‐mode uniplanar square slot‐loop resonator, using an inset‐coupling mechanism with capacitive gaps is proposed. The mode splitting of the uniplanar resonator is described with respect to the perturbation size. A dual‐mode uniplanar filter using such a resonator is designed and fabricated with 5% bandwidth at the center frequency of 2.97 GHz for demonstration. The measured filter performance is presented. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 41: 481–483, 2004; Published online in Wiley InterScience (www.interscience.wiley.com). ## Abstract In this article, a bandpass filter with a wide stopband is proposed for the wireless local area network (WLAN) system. The filter is mainly composed of a dual‐mode bandpass filter (DM‐BPF) and a controllable bandstop structure (CBS). By using the CBS, multiple transmission zeros can be
## Abstract This paper presents the improved stopband of a novel dual‐mode bandpass filter (BPF) using an etched H‐shaped defected ground structure (DGS) at 2 GHz. The wide‐stopband characteristic results from the rejection‐band resonant characteristic of the DGS in the harmonic frequency of the du
