Abstract
Insects possess garden variety of traits, but for some who lack the ability of vision, their species would have been extinct long ago. Through ingenuity of creation, these species adapted to the environment by developing antennas where they can use the basic principles of wave propagation to feel the surrounding objects. In this article, a new design for broadband microstrip antennas was investigated. The main aim is to make the patch like a cockroach antenna. The antenna has shown to yield percentage bandwidth about 120% for a substrate with permittivity of 4.5. For using air substrate, the antenna was fabricated, and the percentage bandwidth was 42%. Furthermore, some modifications were made to increase the bandwidth of air substrate antennas until it successfully reached 114%. Β© 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract This article presents a new TV antenna based on the soβcalled Eleven antenna for receiving digital television. The Eleven antenna is a logβperiodic folded dipole array, which can cover decade bandwidth. The new TV antenna, a variation of the Eleven antenna, is nearly planar and very comp
The slit cut on a microstrip antenna is studied in this paper, and a multiport series inductance network is established for analysis. Based on this study, two slit applications are proposed: to adjust the resonant frequency, and to make a small microstrip antenna. Experiments agree well with the the
Design and test consideration of RF systems was studied. The frequency domain analysis of RF systems was performed. This analysis helps improve the design performance and facilitates the test of RF circuits. During this analysis we determined the critical components influencing the circuit performan
