✦ Synopsis

Design and test consideration of RF systems was studied. The frequency domain analysis of RF systems was performed. This analysis helps improve the design performance and facilitates the test of RF circuits. During this analysis we determined the critical components influencing the circuit performances and the best topology that can be used to improve the global performance of a design. Correlation between components and their conjoint influence on the circuit were studied to minimize the composite effect of these components on the output. A study of the influence of the intrinsic elements of a transistor was performed and it distinguished those influences caused by passive components. During test consideration, the circuit under test was analyzed in different configurations in order to choose the best situation to improve defect observability. The test frequencies were extracted to observe defects in both passive and active components. Further work will entail hardware realization of the circuit and experimental verification of the proposed method.
