✦ Synopsis

Abstract

This article presents a new TV antenna based on the so‐called Eleven antenna for receiving digital television. The Eleven antenna is a log‐periodic folded dipole array, which can cover decade bandwidth. The new TV antenna, a variation of the Eleven antenna, is nearly planar and very compact, and therefore provides an additional alternative to the other common TV antennas like Yagi–Uda antenna and V‐dipole antenna. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
