In this paper, we solve the disturbance-rejection and tracking problem for linear multivariable discrete-time systems with time-delayed controlled inputs. A set of necessary and sufficient conditions under which the proposed problem is controllable is defined. Also, the nilpotency properties of such

β¦ Synopsis
This brief paper deals with the return difference function and the inverse optimal control problem for linear single-input discrete-time systems with a quadratic performance criterion. It is pointed out that there are essential differences with respect to the case of continuous-time systems. The effect of these differences on the stability margins and the sensitivity properties of optimal feedback discretetime systems is analysed.

A new decomposition-coordination approach is presented to design control laws for linear discrete-time systems with distributed lags. By a proper decomposition of the criterion, one obtains a control law with partial feedbacks and an open loop part in order to satisfy the optimality conditions. On-l
