## Abstract A modification of our previously reported^2^ gas chromatographic method of preparing vinyl‐^14^C~2~ chloride (^14^C‐VC) has been made. The procedure using 1,2‐dichloroethane‐^14^C~2~ obtained from New England Nuclear Corporation gave good yields of ^14^C‐VC as a gas mixture with helium.

## Abstract Utilizing sodium [1βˆ’^14^C]propionate as a precursor, [^14^C]FK‐506, labeled at carbon atoms 10, 16, 18, 21a, 24, and 26, was produced by fermentative biosynthesis. Extractive isolation followed by chromatographic purification provided material of purity suitable for metabolism studies.
