โฆ Synopsis
The process of two-and three-particle photorecombmation of chlorine atoms in a reftected shock wave and in a supersonic nozzle has been studied. The rate constants of photorecombinahon betaeen 960 K and 2800 K have been determmed experimentally for the first time. The contriiu~on of A and B states of chlonne to the total emisaaon has been estunated and an tdentfication of the spectral dismbution of the recombinative emission intensity has been cas&%i out. I. introduction The chlorine atom recombination leads to the formation of excited chlonne in B 311(0~) and A 'fl( 1,) states. The molecular traction to the ground state may result in the emission of a photon. Studies of such processes have been carried out at room [1,2] and high temperatures 133. It has been demonstrated, that emission is observed mainly from the bound part of the B state with its maximum in the region of 1000 nm at low temperatures. Continuous emission from the A state and the repulsive part of the

## Abstract The competitive photochlorination of vinyl chloride and ethane has been studied at 322ยฐK and permits one to measure k~2~ = 10^10^ mole ^โ1^~1~ sec ^โ1^ for the rate constant of the addition of a Cl atom on vinyl chloride. This value is compared with those obtained for other chlorinated
