Abstract
Owing to the hydrogenation of the unsaturated fatty acids of feed fat by rumenβmicroorganisms, the greatest part of these fatty acids are not deposited in the depot fat of these animals, but appear as transβfatty acids. Furthermore, indications with regard to characteristic criterion, which is associated with the occurrence of branched chain and rarely occuring unsaturated fatty acids, have been given.
