✦ Synopsis
The normal fatty acid contents of omental fat were investigated in cats and guinea pigs. Sex appears to have no effect on the distribution of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids; the latter are always in higher proportion than the former, although guinea pigs show greater variations in this proportion. Palmitic acid was the principal constituent of the saturated portion and linoleic acid, that of the unsaturated portion in both animals.

## Background: The neuroendocrine (ne) cells in the human prostate gland probably have a local regulatory role in both prostatic growth and differentiation as well as in the exocrine secretory process. moreover, ne cells may be involved in the pathogenesis of both prostatic cancer and hyperplasia.
## Abstract The Component fatty acids and glycerides of Dhupa fat have been determined by a combination of the low‐temperature crystallization, lead salt separation, and spectrophotometric techniques. The major Component fatty acids of a number of specimens range from palmitic 10‐13, steam 39‐45, o
