The essential oils of aerial parts of specimens of Lippia alba (Mill.) N. E. Br were analysed by GC±MS. The plants were collected at three municipalities of Para State, Brazil, and their oils shown to be quite dierent. The samples of essential oils may be divided into three groups. The ®rst, type A
