The electrochemical reduction of dilute aqueous solutions of monobutyltin containing nitrate and chloride electrolytes has been examined at mercury electrodes using the techniques of direct current polarography, cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse polarography and differential pulse voltammetry.
The reduction of Mn\*+ has been studied in formamide, dimethyl formamide and acetonitrile Mn2+ gives well defined current/voltage curves in aqueous and non-aqueous media. The kinetic parameters K, and a have been calculated by means of Matsuda's and Gellings' theoretical treatments in water, aqueous
