The complex W( CO)&H6 has been observed in the gas phase by time-resolved infrared spectroscopy following 308 nm laser photolysis of W(CO), in the presence of C,H6. The complex is shown to be in equilibrium with its precursor, W(CO),, at room temperature and to have a C2Hb binding energy of 9.7 zh 3

The complex W (CO) 5 ( C02) has been observed in the gas phase by time-resolved infrared spectroscopy following 355 nm laser photolysis of W (CO)6 in the presence of CO,. The complex was shown to be in equilibrium with its precursor W (CO) s at room temperature and the bond energy for binding of CO2
The reaction of the coordinatively unsaturated mono-tungsten center W(CO) s with NO was investigated by time-resolved infrared absorption spectroscopy in the wavenumber region 1650-2035 cm-~ in the gas phase at room temperature. Initially, W(CO) 5 reacted with NO to make a nitrosyl coordination comp
