✦ Synopsis


The best investigated group of rapeseed glucosides are the glucosinolates 8]. In previous studies there were also revealed other glucoside compounds in rapeseed [I]. Separating ethanol rapeseed extract (earlier purified by separation from wafer phase to butanol) on Sephadex LH-20 column 3 sugar maxima and 6 maxima in UV (235 nm) were found in the elution profile.

As glucosides, including glucosinolates, are biologically active, it was decided to investigate thcir presence in Japanese rapeseed varieties of rapeseed. ' d.d.m.dry defatted meal
