✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Experimental data and a reaction scheme concerning the reaction between TiCl~3~ and Al(CH~3~)~3~ are presented. The reaction yielding a polymerization‐active catalyst was studied in the absence of a solvent, predominantly at 65Β°C. The conclusion is drawn that about half of the carbon present on the catalyst is in the form of easily exchangeable CH~3~ groups.

The oxidation-elimination reaction between dicyclopentadienyl-dicarbonyl titanium, Cp,E(CO), fiis(methylcyclopentadieny1)dicarbonyl titanium, (MeCp),E(CO)J and aryltin halides was studied. Nineteen novel complexes containing the E-Sn bond were isolated. The reaction was proved to involve freeradical
