β¦ Synopsis
The oxidation-elimination reaction between dicyclopentadienyl-dicarbonyl titanium, Cp,E(CO), fiis(methylcyclopentadieny1)dicarbonyl titanium, (MeCp),E(CO)J and aryltin halides was studied. Nineteen novel complexes containing the E-Sn bond were isolated. The reaction was proved to involve freeradical intemediates.

The oxidation elimination reaction between dicar-bony1 titanocene and aryltin halides was studied by means of paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy. The radical intermediates containing E ( I I I ) were discovered from the ESR spectra to be (Cp,TiSnAr,J\_,,), Cp,E(CO)X, and Cp,EX, and a radical mechan
