In the title compound, [Rh 2 (C 2 H 4 NO) 4 (H 2 O) 2 ][ReO 4 ], the cation lies on an inversion center and the anion on a twofold axis. The cations are connected two-dimensionally by O-HÁ Á ÁO and N-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonding. Hydrogen bonds to perrhenate ions connect the two-dimensional sheets.

The bis(4-ethylpyridine) adduct of dicopper(II) tetrabenzoate, [ Cu 2 (C 7 H 5 O 2 ) 4 (C 7 H 9 N) 2 ], has centrosymmetrically related square-pyramidal Cu atoms bridged by four benzoate ions; the heterocyclic ligands that occupy the apical sites are disordered.
The asymmetric unit of the title mixed-valence complex, [Ru 2 (C 2 H 4 NO) 4 (H 2 O) 2 ]NO 3 , comprises two half-cations, with Ru-Ru bond distances of 2.2829 (5) and 2.2797 (5) A ˚, and a nitrate anion. Each cation is centrosymmetric. The diruthenium cations form a two-dimensional hydrogen-bonding
