Abstract
Three new analogues of Oxytocin in which one of the amino‐acids of the peptidic side‐chain has been omitted, i.e. De‐Pro^7^‐Oxytocin, De‐Leu^8^‐Oxytocin and De‐Gly^9^‐Oxytocin, have been synthesized according to the scheme (3+5). All three analogues exhibit about 1% of the uterus contracting and milk ejecting activities of Oxytocin, but no avian depressor property.
