## Abstract A synthetic route to isotopically labelled forms of the tropane alkaloid hyoscyamine, including (__RS__)‐[3β€², 3β€²,‐^2^H~2~]‐ (**2a**) and (__RS__)‐[1′‐^13^C, 3β€², 3β€²,‐^2^H~2~]‐ (**2b**) hyoscyamines, involving the reaction between phenylacetyl tropine and formaldehyde is described.
