β¦ Synopsis
A method is described by which 1.11 to 1.48 GBq (30 to 40 mCi) of ["CIQNB can be obtained from approximately 55.5 GBq (1.5 Ci) of llCO, in 40 minutes.
The product, purified by HPLC chromatogaphy, is obtained with a specific activity of 18.5 to 3 3 . 3 GBq/umol (500 to 9 0 0 mCi/vmol).
Carbon-11 labelling is performed in two stages :
-Formation of ["Clbenzilic acid by carbonation by "CO, of the the pre-prepared benzophenone dianion.
-Esterification of [llC]benzilic acid by 3-quinuclidinol in the presence of carbonyldiimidazole.
