In the title complex, [Cu(C 7 H 4 ClO 2 ) 2 (C 10 H 8 N 2 )] n , the Cu II ion, lying on an inversion centre, is coordinated by two monodentate 4-chlorobenzoate ligands and two N atoms from two bridging 4,4 0 -bipyridine ligands, each disposed about a centre of inversion, within an N 2 O 2 square pl
