Abstract
We present the synthesis and characterization of the firsttrisila‐bridged ansa half‐sandwich complexes of Group 6 transition metals in a one‐step synthesis from dilithiatedprecursors Li[M(η^5^‐C~5~H~4~Li)(CO)~3~] (M = W, Mo) by use ofstoichiometric amounts of Si~3~Me~6~Cl~2~ under dilute conditions. Variation of the reaction conditions leads to dinuclear trisila‐bridged half‐sandwich complexes, which were also characterized.
