✦ Synopsis
Abstract
This Letter reports on the design and realization of HTS dual‐mode cross‐slotted filters presenting a more compact size if compared with the traditional dual‐mode patch filters. Dual‐stage filters operating in C band and presenting Chebyshev or quasi‐elliptical responses have been realized and tested by using YBa~2~Cu~3~O~7‐x~ (YBCO) films. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract We proposed a novel dual‐mode dual band bandpass filter (BPF) operating at 2.4/5.7 GHz by using a right cross‐slotted patch resonator (RCSPR) combined with a pair of square etched areas (SEAs). A pair of right crossed slot embedded in the center of the patch resonator is used to tune th
## Abstract A novel design of a compact bandpass ring slot filter for achieving dual‐mode operation is proposed and experimentally studied. By using an arrow‐shaped slot structure as a resonator, the resonant frequency of the proposed filter is significantly lowered, which can lead to a large filte
## Abstract In this article, a novel type of dual‐mode resonator for switchable filters is presented. The novel structure is achieved by embedding a pair of crossed slots and spur‐lines. The proposed filter provides low‐insertion loss, because there are no coupling gaps and radiation loss in feed s
## Abstract A simple semicircular‐patch bandpass filter (BPF) is presented in this letter. The slot between two semicircular‐patch resonators provides DC blocking and a strong coupling, while the slotted orthogonally feed lines are used to obtain the dual‐mode characteristics. Measurement demonstra
## Abstract A compact dual‐mode bandpass filter (BPF) using equilateral triangular slotted‐patch resonator is proposed, which has the advantages of compact size, low insertion loss, and good passband selectivity because of two transmission zeros located at the low and high stopband. A demonstration
