โฆ Synopsis
Substrate directed diastereoselective hydroaminomethylation of methallylic alcohols has been achieved with the aid of the substrate bound catalyst directing o-DPPB-group (o-DPPB = orthodiphenylphosphanyl benzoate). The amines 3-7, 10, 11 have been obtained in fair to good yields in diastereomer ratios > 94:6 (syn : anti).

Substrate Directed Diastereoselective Hydroformylation of Acyclic Homomethallylic Alcohols. -Diastereoselective hydroformylation of acyclic alcohols is achieved with the aid of a catalyst-directing group. In all cases the corresponding aldehydes are formed in good yields with high anti-selectivity.
