โฆ Synopsis
It has been recently reported that some of the CDC25 genes have been implicated in the progression of cell cycle and might display oncogenic properties in mammalian cells. Therefore, the inhibition of this phosphatase may hold promise in the treatment of human cancer. In this study, we demonstrated that cdc25 phosphatase can be inactivated by menadione and that the loss of enzymatic activity was due to the modification of the active site.
