Von allen bisher isolierten und charakterisierten Sideraminen [Z] ist das Coprogen das am langsten bekannte; es wurde etwa gleichzeitig mit dem Ferrichrom [3] zum erstenmal beschrieben [4]. Wahrend fur zahlreiche spater aufgefundene Sideramine gultige Strukturformeln vorliegen [a] und einige davon a

Abstract
The structures of the fungal sideramines ferrichrysine and ferricrocine have been determined with the exception of their amino‐acid sequence. They are iron complexes of cyclic hexapeptides composed of 3 mols. δ‐N‐acetyl‐δ‐N‐hydroxy‐ornithine, 2 mols serine and 1 mol. glycine (ferrichrysine), resp. 3 mols. δ‐N‐acetyl‐δ‐N‐hydroxy‐ornithine, 1 mol. serine and 2 mols. glycine (ferricrocine).
