## Abstract To determine the function of biomaterials on osteoblasts, we studied the effects of two different biomaterials, sintered bovine bone (true bone ceramic) and hydroxyapatite‐related material, on DNA and collagen synthesis and osteoblastic expression in osteoblast‐like cells __in vitro__.

## Abstract The effect of β‐cryptoxanthin, a kind of carotenoid, on cell differentiation and mineralization in osteoblastic MC3T3‐E1 cells was investigated. Cells were cultured for 72 h in a minimum essential medium containing 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), and the cells with subconfluency were chan
## Abstract Bone sialoprotein (BSP) and bone osteopontin (OPN) are members of the SIBLING (small integrin‐binding ligand, __N__‐linked glycoproteins) family of proteins commonly found in mineralized tissues. Previously, OPN was shown to exhibit a preferential orientation for MC3T3‐E1 cell adhesion
## Abstract Statins inhibit 3‐hydroxy‐3‐methylglutaryl‐coenzyme A (HMG‐CoA) reductase, which catalyzes conversion of HMG‐CoA to mevalonate, a rate‐limiting step in cholesterol synthesis. The present study was undertaken to understand the events of osteoblast differentiation induced by statins. Simv
In this study, we have found that Escherichia coli lipopolysaccharide (LPS) could induce the expression of pentraxin 3 (PTX3) mRNA in osteoblast-like cells (MC 3T3-E1) dose dependently. The relation between this expression and alkaline phosphatase (ALP), mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), an
