Abstract
A novel compact slot antenna has been proposed for ultraβwideband (UWB) communications. The keyholeβshaped slot antenna consists of an indented circularβpie slot and a rectangular slot. The UWB (3.1β10.6 GHz) property is achieved by choosing suitable cutting pie and rectangular slot. Details of the proposed antenna design and measured results are presented and discussed. To obtain sufficient bandwidth when the Return Loss is Ο½ Οͺ10 dB, a partial ground plane and coaxial probe source is used. The measured bandwidth of the fabricated antenna is 8.25 GHz when VSW
In this paper, we have developed a novel field-decomposition technique for the point-matching method (PMM). Using this technique, various types of polygonal geometries can be treated by the same field expansion. This is its great advantage, as compared with the previous method. We have discussed the
## Abstract Two novel antennas for UWB communications, both inspired from bowtie and triangular patch structures, are presented and tested. This paper proposes their study and optimization in order to cover the new WPAN standard and facilitate their integration on communication devices. This work h
