Abstract

A novel compact slot antenna has been proposed for ultra‐wideband (UWB) communications. The keyhole‐shaped slot antenna consists of an indented circular‐pie slot and a rectangular slot. The UWB (3.1–10.6 GHz) property is achieved by choosing suitable cutting pie and rectangular slot. Details of the proposed antenna design and measured results are presented and discussed.
