✦ Synopsis

The rotational structure of the 2B, state of NO* is analyzed by means of the time-gated escitation spectrum. monitored at the 3v2 band. The band origins ~0 and the rotational constants are evaluated from the observed data: vo = 20204.86 cm-t.

Rotationally resolved laser excitation spectra of the O-O and 1-O bands of the CN A\*ll-X29 system have been observed. By momtoring the decay of the A \*ll state population preliminary measurements of the hfetlme of the u = 0 level have been made.
