Evidence for the existence of an orientational glass structure in a CH4---Kr mixture with 35% Rr was obtained with MlR measurements. Our results sdd an "octupolar ghss" to the already known "quadrupolar glass" of ortho-para hydrogen.
Proton spin-&t&u refasation times rvere measured in soIid NI-I.+CIOq from 80 to 400Β°K. Relow 200Β°K the observed relsstltion times are due to dipoh interaction, abox that iemp--rature spin-rotational interactions become predominani. A potential barrier of 0.70 kcal mole-' was obtained for the reorie

Non-exponential proton spin-lattice relasation has been observed in solid Cl-I&H3 and CHsCD;. Comparison with recent theoretic31 predictions indicates XI intermethyl cross-correlation effect in CH&HJ which operates inaddition to the more commonly observed intramethyl cross-correlation intelactions.
