Non-exponential proton spin-lattice relasation has been observed in solid Cl-I&H3 and CHsCD;. Comparison with recent theoretic31 predictions indicates XI intermethyl cross-correlation effect in CH&HJ which operates inaddition to the more commonly observed intramethyl cross-correlation intelactions.
## Abstract Spinโlattice relaxation mechanisms of nuclear spins in solids in the presence of low concentrations of paramagnetic centers are discussed. Apart from the electron spinโlattice relaxation mechanism, threeโspin processes involving two electron spins and a nuclear spin may also play a role
