โฆ Synopsis
The rate constants for the reactions SiH,+02, SiH,+NO, and StH,+NO+N, have been measured over the pressure range I-10 Torr at 300 K, by monitoring a SiHl absorption line at 7 19.93 I cm ' using time-resolved diode laser spectroscopy. SiH3 radicals were prepared by pulsed CO2 laser photolysis of CClzF in SiH,: CCl,F+nhv-โขCClzF+CI, CI+SiH,+HCI+SiH,. Analysis ofthe pseudo-first-order decay of SiH3 provided rate constants of (1.3+0.3) X 1W" and (5.1 kO.9) X lo-" cm' molecule-' s-l ( + 2~) for the reactions with Oz and N02, respectively, and (8.2 + 0.9 ) x 10m30 cm' molecule ~' s-' ( t 2~) for the reaction SiH,tNOtN,

The rate consorts of several H=O+ reactions have been measured as a function of relative kinetic energy in a ffow&ift tube The reactions were found to proceed in a variety of ways -charge transfer, proton transfer. and H-aom &strxtton and to have onl) moderate kinetic-energy dependences.
The rate constants of the reactions of ethoxy (C 2 H 5 O), i-propoxy (i-C 3 H 7 O) and npropoxy (n-C 3 H 7 O) radicals with O 2 and NO have been measured as a function of temperature. Radicals have been generated by laser photolysis from the appropriate alkyl nitrite and have been detected by laser-
Ra?e constants for the reaction of 0(3P) atoms with CaH4, CaHB and NO(M = NpO) have been measured over the temperature range 300-392ยฐK using a modulation-phase shifi technique. The Arrhenius expressions obtained are: C2H4, k2 = 3.37 X 10' exp[-(1270 -f 200)/RT] liter mole-' see-', CJH~, kz = 2.08 x
