## Abstract A simple and effective synthesis of D‐[3,4‐^13^C~2~]Glucose (60 atom % ^13^__C__~2~) __via__ ^13^C enriched α,α' trehalose (1) produced from sodium [1‐^13^C]acetate by sporulating yeast is described.
